2. System Access

2.1 Web Portal Access

Navigate to your organization's BMO HRM login portal
Enter your username and password
From the dashboard, select: Menu > e-Leave

2.2 Mobile App Access

Download the BizCloud Mobile App (available for iOS and Android)
Log in using your BMO HRM credentials
Tap the e-Leave section from the main menu
Note: Mobile app features may vary slightly from the web portal. Ensure you're using the latest version of the app.

3. Leave Application

3.1 Submitting a Leave Request

Go to: Menu > e-Leave > Apply Leave
Select your Leave Type (Annual, Sick, etc.)
Choose the Date(s) and Time (Full day/Half day AM/Half day PM)
Attach any required supporting documents
Add optional remarks if needed
Click Submit to send for approval
Important: Different leave types may have different submission requirements and deadlines.

3.2 Special Conditions

Annual Leave Must be applied at least 4 days in advance
Medical Leave (MC) Requires medical certificate upload
Maternity Leave Requires HR approval and documentation

3.3 Applying Leave for Others

Go to: Menu > e-Leave > HR Apply Leave
Select the employee from the list
Complete the leave details as with a standard application
Submit on behalf of the employee
Note: This feature requires special permissions typically granted to HR personnel and managers.

3.4 Company-Wide Leave Application

Go to: Menu > HR > Leave Application > HR Apply Leave
Select multiple employees or entire departments
Apply leave collectively (e.g., for public holidays)
Confirm the bulk application

4. Leave Approval Process

4.1 Multi-Level Workflow Configuration

Navigate to: Menu > HR > Approval Setting > Approval Set
Define your approval hierarchy and levels
Set conditions using logical AND/OR combinations
Save the approval workflow
The system supports unlimited approval levels to accommodate complex organizational structures.

Email Approval

Approvers receive email notifications with direct action links to approve or reject requests.

Mobile App

Use the BizCloud Mobile App's Pending Approvals section to review and act on requests.

Web Portal

Navigate to Menu > e-Leave > Leave Approval in the web interface.

5. Managing Leave Balances

5.1 Leave Policy Setup

Navigate to: Menu > Employee > Employee Type
Define leave entitlements based on employment categories
Set accrual rules based on years of service
Configure any probationary period restrictions

5.2 Leave Adjustments

Go to: Menu > e-Leave > Leave Setting > Leave Adjustment
Select the employee needing adjustment
Specify the leave type and adjustment amount (+/-)
Add a reason for the manual adjustment
Save the changes
Manual adjustments are logged in the system for audit purposes. Always provide a clear reason for adjustments.

5.3 Carry Forward Settings

Navigate to: Menu > e-Leave > Leave Setting > Leave Type
Enable the "Carry Forward" option for applicable leave types
Set the maximum number of days that can be carried forward
Configure any expiration rules (e.g., must be used within 3 months)

5.4 Earning Rules Configuration

Within Leave Type settings, define how leave is accrued:
Monthly or annual accrual patterns
Probationary period delays (if any)
One-time grants for specific employee types
Negative allowance permissions (where applicable)
